“Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” Deut. 7:9

“Tell your children about it, let your children tell their children and their children another generation.” Joel 1:3

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” Deut. 6:6-7

What a pleasure it is (has been), to read your children and now grandchildren from the stories of the bible. I was reminded of the importance as I read this wonderful article the other day. Right away, I understood the reason of many things as they go here in my homeland Sweden. What a wise and effective strategy the enemy of God used to take away this beautiful habit, this command from God to TELL THEM, teach them, even an older translation says “make sure they know”, as it is a duty of fatherhood to do so!

Into thousand generations, which is 1000 times 40 is quite a long time! We lost the beauty and importance of it and by now, the lack of knowledge is dramatical! So, lets start, take time, take back and start telling the stories! Make know the faithfulness of God through the bible.

Adam and Eve (not Steve) and Gods plan on mankind;

Noah and the arc as God paints His promise in the sky;

Daniel with the Lions as God is all about protecting the brave ones;

Sadrac, Mesac and Abednego, through the fire serving God;

David and Goliath and the lessons of speaking out!

Well I can go on, but there is a task, a big and demanding task waiting for us…
